This blog began as my place to chronicle my life in Los Angeles, where I lived from 2005-2009. In March 2009, my husband and I moved to my home state of Texas, where we have started a new chapter of life together.
My stepdad, John, gave me the nickname "Starshine" and I have always loved it. He passed away in 2003, but his love still resonates in my heart. John had a way of putting things simply and never judging. I hope that this blog will be a place for me to put into practice some of his virtues--a place to openly express myself, free from the judgment of my inner critic. A place to be truly alive!

What a sweetie! Is he still in the hospital? I was the same size, and I stayed for two weeks...but that was 42 years ago, so I don't know how different it is now. :)
He is gorgeous, btw.

You brought tears to my eyes just reading the part of not fitting in..., you know you'll always fit in and never let anyone let you think differantly! You just be who you are, and stand you ground! We miss you here in Spain, i know I've never really written to you but that a long story on it's own, but believe me you are in our hearts, so in Ines as well!!! Bless you heart!!!
