When we got to the hospital to visit Dad this morning, he informed us that they had to skip a treatment because they were worried about his kidney function. Once that situation improved, he was able to receive the next treatment this evening. After receiving that one, his blood pressure began to drop. So he is receiving neopeneferin (?) to get his blood pressure back up, and they are hopeful that he will be able to receive his next treatment (#7) later tonight.
Please pray for his complete healing from the cancer and for his body to stay strong to be able to handle the treatments. Dad's spirit is still strong, and he wants to keep on with the treatments.

My stepdad, John, gave me the nickname "Starshine" and I have always loved it. He passed away in 2003, but his love still resonates in my heart. John had a way of putting things simply and never judging. I hope that this blog will be a place for me to put into practice some of his virtues--a place to openly express myself, free from the judgment of my inner critic. A place to be truly alive!

He is half way through this second round of treatments. It sounds like he has a very strong soul, but with you and your sister there, he is even stronger.
