This is my new car! Isn't it cute?! What do you think I should name it? I was thinking about naming it "Snowball". I just enjoy the irony of driving a snowball around sunny Los Angeles!

This blog began as my place to chronicle my life in Los Angeles, where I lived from 2005-2009. In March 2009, my husband and I moved to my home state of Texas, where we have started a new chapter of life together.
My stepdad, John, gave me the nickname "Starshine" and I have always loved it. He passed away in 2003, but his love still resonates in my heart. John had a way of putting things simply and never judging. I hope that this blog will be a place for me to put into practice some of his virtues--a place to openly express myself, free from the judgment of my inner critic. A place to be truly alive!

VERY cute. :) It almost looks too small to be a snowball, though...maybe snowflake?

I suggest "Whiteboy". There was a terrible Vanilla Ice re-make of the song "Play That Funky Music" that is seared into my brain from too much listening in the 5th grade. The pre-chorus goes..."Go Whiteboy, Go Whiteboy, Go" which will make for a good rally chant as you climb up the entrance ramp with the massive 4-banger in the Whiteboy Snowball.
