Bridal Portraits

Here are some of my favorite bridal portraits. They were taken at a local strip center that is designed to look like Venice. At first it felt like an odd locale, but I was pleased with the end result. The photo in the header was one of my favorites. I had thrown my bouquet up in the air, and as it came back down, I instinctively lunged forward to catch it. My sister said, "It's like you forgot you were a bride and you reverted back to fifth grade softball." Go Redhots!

The day that these were taken was about three or four months before the wedding. It was like a "rehearsal" on being a bride. I remember putting on the veil and thinking, "Wow. I really feel like a bride." It was fun, but only a whisper of the feelings I had on my wedding day!

I love them all, esp the one with you fixing your earring, and by the river. Looks kinda like the river walk in San Antonio, which is the only part of Texas I've ever been to.

I'm glad you explained the picture on your header, though I kinda like my explination, too...I thought you were imitating the horses from the fountain behind you! HA!

All the photos are gorgeous. With such a unique and pretty dress I don't suppose that you'll be joining the trash the dress trend, will you?

[trashthedress.com has been all the talk around here these last few days. I can't imagine why my friends and I are talking about such things, but we are.]

Oh, gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. :) I love them all. You were/are a gorgeous bride! I thought the header pic looked like you were just throwing up your bouquet and screaming "ahhhh! I'm a BRIDE at last!!" in excitement. I think it's my favorite pic.

Thanks for all of the sweet comments!

Ally Bean - I will definitely NOT be trashing my dress. I read a blog post about that trend, and I don't really get it. I didn't have that kind of angst with my wedding, and wearing my dress was so much fun. I'm definitely keeping it! Although, the thought has crossed my mind to try to turn it into something else, like a dressy top and pants that I could wear to formal holiday parties. We'll see though...
