Did you ever hear the one about the girl who went to the trailer park and left with a black eye?

Bless my achy breaky heart.

Yes, that is me with a little shiner over the Christmas holidays. Ain't I purty?

My mother-in-law is an adventuresome spirit who loves to leave the cold climes of Virginia in the winter and drive around warmer parts of the country in her RV. We were thrilled that she decided to join us in Texas for Christmas!

In fact, we were so excited to see her, that Hubs and I drove over to meet her at the RV park where she had just arrived (about 15 mins from my mom's house) to see how she was getting settled in. Sadly, on her way out to TX, she camped in some places where the temperature was well below freezing, and some of the water pipes on her RV burst.

Just before we had arrived to greet her at the RV park in Texas, she had hooked up the water to her RV and water was gushing out from under her RV through the broken pipes.

I thought I'd take a gander at the broken pipes, and just as I bent down to look under the RV, my MIL's dog Dakota jumped up into the RV and well...we bumped heads! Actually, his head bumped the bone over my right eye and resulted in this lovely bruise.

It really looks much worse than it felt, and now it is all gone, but it was such good blog fodder, I couldn't resist sharing it with you!

Oh goodness! That's a good one!

I'm glad it cleared up but also glad you got a picture of it ;-) Always thinking of the blog you are.

Doesn't Tracy have the cutest nose? I've always been so jealous of it! My hook beak is so envious of her cute button. I know this post wasn't about her nose, but seriously...isn't it cute?

Oopsy! She does have a cute nose! It probably detracted from that shiner ;)

Ouchie! It's a good story but maybe we could come up with some crazy story involving spies and intrigue and espionage! Or, a doggie.

Did you go around saying, with a Texan swagger, "You should see the OTHER guy!"? I would have. It would have been very annoying.
