Things I'll miss about California: Road trip version

January is one of my favorite months of the year here in California. Because the air is crisp and colder, it is free of the usual haze and the mountain views are spectacular. We drove to Palm Desert/Palm Springs on Thursday, and these were some of the photos I snapped from the passenger seat as we drove along.

This first photo is the epitome of Southern California to me--palm trees in the foreground and snow-capped mountains in the background!

The way the landscape changed as we drove was cool to see, as well:

Foothills and mountains:

Rocky hills:

The open road and blue skies above:

The beauty of California is one of the things I'll miss most about living here.

I missed CA's beauty when we lived in Philly, though when we came back, I missed the beauty of Philly. ;)

I can't imagine living anywhere else. Yesterday was clear and crisp but warm enough that I wore capris. I also bought my first flip flops for the summer...little black heart ones from old navy. I really liked Texas the few times I've been there. The people are so friendly.

Aw, thanks for sharing those pictures :) My aunt used to live in Palm Springs so I know that drive very well :) I also love seeing pictures of Southern Califronia in general. I miss it sometimes.
