On Sunday, Hubs came home from the grocery story with these little beauties--just a little love gift. That made me feel as happy and bright as the color of these gerbera! Aren't they the cheeriest?

This blog began as my place to chronicle my life in Los Angeles, where I lived from 2005-2009. In March 2009, my husband and I moved to my home state of Texas, where we have started a new chapter of life together.
My stepdad, John, gave me the nickname "Starshine" and I have always loved it. He passed away in 2003, but his love still resonates in my heart. John had a way of putting things simply and never judging. I hope that this blog will be a place for me to put into practice some of his virtues--a place to openly express myself, free from the judgment of my inner critic. A place to be truly alive!

OHHhhh i LOVE daisies. that's a gorgeous shot of those, too. i'm lovin the vase and how they are just all chubbly lookin in there. hehe!

I had them in a wide mouthed vase first, but they looked too droopy. All I had to do was put them in this narrow-mouthed vase and chunky and cheery was the result. Great to hear from you!
