Last week, I wrote about my Dad's recent diagnosis with metastatic melanoma (skin cancer that has spread). Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He will be undergoing some testing this week on his heart and pulmonary function to make sure that his body can handle the treatments. It's basically a qualification process. On Friday, he will have a surgery to implant a port that will be used to administer his treatments. God willing, the treatments will begin on Monday, May 8th. The treatments will be administered over the course of three weeks: six days in the hospital receiving the treatments, six days home from the hospital recuperating, six days back in the hospital for the rest of the treatments. As the treatments are very toxic, he will be in the hospital (ICU) being constantly monitored. I will be in Texas next week to be with him for the first week in the hospital. My sister will be there too.
Prayer requests: that he will qualify for this treatment, for strength for him to endure the treatments, for healing of his body from the cancer.
In a much lighter note, let's talk about my eSuitor (of fondue fame). It's official people: I have a boyfriend! This has actually been official for a couple weeks now. He is a treasure, and I am really happy! He is very sweet and caring, and it doesn't hurt at all that he is deliciously handsome! I'm so thankful to have him in my life.
Oh! Other good news: I got an agent! I auditioned for this agency six months ago. I felt like it went really well, but I never heard back from them, which in this business is not typically a very good sign. Well, the agent called me about a week and a half ago and offered me representation! What a blessing! Thank You, Lord!
That pretty much brings you up to speed. I'll continue to post updates on my Dad. Thank you so much for your prayers.

You are a strong and talented woman. Congratulations on the man finds, the agent, and the flexibility in your life to be with your father in Texas.
Please know that your family will be in my thoughts.
