It's been over a week since my last post because we have been busy!
After returning from our honeymoon, we had about four days in our place to get settled in before flying back to Texas. There, we packed up a Penske truck with some furniture, wedding gifts, and things like yearbooks that my dear mom has been keeping since I graduated from high school. Then we made the three day journey across the desert of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and finally California. We arrived here yesterday in the late afternoon. Four young twenty-something guys who my husband mentors met us at our place and unloaded the truck and put our furniture right where we wanted it in about an hour or so. It was awesome!
Today, Hubs and I will begin the process of unpacking boxes and putting things in their places. I am most excited about "nesting" in terms of hanging pictures on the walls and putting things around the place--all those things that make a house a home.
It feels good to be home...like an adventure is about to begin!

Ahhhhhh A big sigh of relief and settling in! Have fun Tracy.
Yay to you and "Husby" getting all settled. That's the best part of moving, and esp. as newlyweds!
HURRAY!
As if the last month wasn't the fun part already.
Have a blast!
Getting all the stuff in one place is the biggest obstacle to decorating. Now that it's all there with you-- have at it and have fun.
Welcome home! Isn't it nice to get settled?
You two are so cute together. I wish you all the best in your new home!
When do we get to see honeymoon pics??
It has begun... so wonderful.
I love reading this, it's like a strange fairytale that has come true.
I keep marveling that 'someone out there is still courting and wedding this way?!' I wish we all still did.
It's such a delight to see.
Thank you for sharing it.
Have fun nesting!!
