This blog began as my place to chronicle my life in Los Angeles, where I lived from 2005-2009. In March 2009, my husband and I moved to my home state of Texas, where we have started a new chapter of life together.
My stepdad, John, gave me the nickname "Starshine" and I have always loved it. He passed away in 2003, but his love still resonates in my heart. John had a way of putting things simply and never judging. I hope that this blog will be a place for me to put into practice some of his virtues--a place to openly express myself, free from the judgment of my inner critic. A place to be truly alive!

SO WEIRD!! I visited my friendly neighborhood Starbucks today and all the way home I sang, "Taylor, the Latte Boy, bring me java, bring me joy ...". Then tonight I see this. Wild.

I didn't know who she was, but as I'm listening and smiling (such a CUTE SONG and she's so cute singing it!) I was thinking, 'Man, she sounds like that girl from Wicked!'.

Now I want to go watch Pushing Daisies since she's apparently in that too. Could she be any cuter?
