Congratulations, Shawn Johnson!

This girl's good sportsmanship makes me proud to be an American. She represented us well at the Olympics, and her victory on the beam has thus far been my favorite moment of the Olympics!

We cheered loudly and stomped our feet. Go USA!

Us too! Miss E told me she wanted to grow up and be just like her! :)

I went to bed, but Ted stayed up and watched, and he loved it. :)

It was a great moment! My roommate & I cheered & clapped & cried. Did ya'll see her sweet parents? Oh I'm gettin' teary-eyed just thinking about it. They mortgaged their house to pay for her training and travel! It's the stories of the athletes & their families that keep me up til the wee hours watching!

Isn't she just the cutest thing? Always with the smiling and the TEAM USA speak!

I admit though, each time she lands on the beam my ankles hurt. She's one solid cookie!

I watched the gymnasts early on, while I was on vacation..but these days I'm not able to stay up much past 9. I think our girls have been outstanding...considering everything that's going on there. They are very good sportswoman. YAY Shawn!

Oh, me, too. I love the story of how she and her coach met. I was boo-hooing when they showed her mom falling apart!
