Public Service Announcement - Day of the Child

The first job I booked when I moved to Los Angeles was for this PSA, created for DayOfTheChild.Org. On the whole, I was really pleased with how it turned out. It was shot on Super 8, if I remember correctly, which gave it the grainy quality, but I think it works for the piece.

I'm in the process of creating a reel of the work I've done since moving to LA, so you may be seeing some of my other projects in the days and weeks to come.

I wish EVERY day was the day of the child. Powerful PSA.

Well said Mrs. G.

Nicely done Starshine! Acting is more than entertainment. It can lead to enlightment as visuals are so powerful in our society.

I tried to comment last night from my phone, but I was unsuccessful. (still trying to figure things out)

That commercial was POWERFUL! Working in the mental health field, it really hit home for a lot of our kiddos. You looked amazing!

Wow, what a horrid commercial! I mean that in that it was totally effective and brought tears to my eyes. I hate that PSAs like this are even necessary. I think you did an amazing job in it, though.

Wow! Great job, Starshine! What a very powerful (and I agree with J here) PSA. It gave me chills watching it.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work! I have fun scanning the internet for Baby Bro's old acting jobs. I dug up a commercial of his that he NEVER told me about! I found it by chance! LOL! I now know why he never advertised that job!

I got kinda scared watching that....very convincing acting, on a very important topic.... It's great you could be a part of that. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future! :) xo
