Since little Sam has started smiling up a storm, my Mom has been saying that he resembles my baby pictures. Do you see it?

My sister told me that she just saw some baby pics of her husband this past weekend, and she said that Sam looks just like his Dad did as a baby. I thought I'd include this one in the mix, too, of my mom and me when I was a wee one. Isn't my mommy pretty?! I love this picture because you can see how much she is enjoying being a mom. I am so blessed because she still delights in being my mother, and I love her so.

Beautiful pictures, all. :) You saying your mom was enjoying being a mommy (which she clearly did, and does) reminded me of my Grandma, when my mom was born. Grandma married the week before graduation from High School, and was only 19 when she had my mom, and she laughs and says she remembers her mother telling her, "For goodness sake, Virginia, she's not a TOY", because my Grandma was having so much fun with her new baby. Sweet, huh?

I love the thoughts about your mom. She does look ecstatic to be a new mom. Now that's a breath of fresh air in this day in age. I love the joy in her eyes. You're a lucky girl to have such an incredible mom but I get the feeling you know that already!! :)
