HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

This year, I have so much to be thankful for:

~Our move to Houston and our home here.

~Starting our adoption process.

~Getting to know my nephew Sam and spend time with him.

~Living close to my Mom and sister again.

~The start of Starshine Photography.

~A loving marriage and an awesome husband.

~My Loving God.

This blog began as my place to chronicle my life in Los Angeles, where I lived from 2005-2009. In March 2009, my husband and I moved to my home state of Texas, where we have started a new chapter of life together.

My stepdad, John, gave me the nickname "Starshine" and I have always loved it. He passed away in 2003, but his love still resonates in my heart. John had a way of putting things simply and never judging. I hope that this blog will be a place for me to put into practice some of his virtues--a place to openly express myself, free from the judgment of my inner critic. A place to be truly alive!
