My walls are looking bare.
No more winter clothes in my closet.
Books are in boxes.
Only the daily essentials are staying here with me until the wedding!
All the rest are slowing being moved to our place.
I'm really getting married, aren't I? (!!!)

This blog began as my place to chronicle my life in Los Angeles, where I lived from 2005-2009. In March 2009, my husband and I moved to my home state of Texas, where we have started a new chapter of life together.
My stepdad, John, gave me the nickname "Starshine" and I have always loved it. He passed away in 2003, but his love still resonates in my heart. John had a way of putting things simply and never judging. I hope that this blog will be a place for me to put into practice some of his virtues--a place to openly express myself, free from the judgment of my inner critic. A place to be truly alive!

YES! you are getting MARRIED...wow...so great, such a wonderful joyful experience...:*) Enjoy this time.....take some time out to just BE and revel in it...you deserve it!

I bet that is weird to see your apartment empty like that. I don't even remember doing that, but I must of as I moved in with Z-D after we were married.
