Tonight was my rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The church is decorated and looks absolutely beautiful! The rehearsal went smoothly, and I have to say that when the organ music swelled and started playing the Wedding Processional from The Sound of Music, it was really moving to walk down the aisle, escorted by my father. When I caught a glimpse of my mom, she was wiping away tears. I wonder if any of us will have dry eyes tomorrow. It is going to be one special day!
The rehearsal dinner was beautiful, and it was so touching to hear our friends share stories and memories. So much love and friendship all in one room! It was especially wonderful to hear eSuitor's friends talk about how much they appreciate his character and integrity. Those are two of the qualities I love most about him, and hearing other people talk about it really enforced what a gift from God he is to me.
Tomorrow is my wedding day. Thank You so much, Heavenly Father, for answering my prayers! Marrying eSuitor is a dream-come-true!

This blog began as my place to chronicle my life in Los Angeles, where I lived from 2005-2009. In March 2009, my husband and I moved to my home state of Texas, where we have started a new chapter of life together.
My stepdad, John, gave me the nickname "Starshine" and I have always loved it. He passed away in 2003, but his love still resonates in my heart. John had a way of putting things simply and never judging. I hope that this blog will be a place for me to put into practice some of his virtues--a place to openly express myself, free from the judgment of my inner critic. A place to be truly alive!
