Fashion Faux Pas or Fashion Hoorah?

For Christmas, Santa brought me some super fun harlequin diamond multi-colored tights.

I have a bad reputation with my sister for wearing tights that in her words are "just wrong". I don't know why, but I LURRRRVE a sassy pair of tights that make a fashion statement.  I think my sister would be pleased with how I wore these...just a little hint of color showing between my skirt and the tops of my boots.

What do you think? Fashion faux pas or fashion hoorah?

For those of you who need a better view of these colorful tights, here's a little peak:

Yea, I'm thinking HOORAH!

I love tights! They are huge in Italy in every color/type imaginable. Just go for it!

Oh Starshine, I love you. You must be my fashion soul-sister. Because I am looking at this picture and thinking, 'that so looks like something I would do. And a good friend would come to me and tell me the truth.'

I love tights, I'm wearing purple ones today, and I swear they match the outfit. But harlequin boldness like this? I think you need to think "DARING" in order to pull this off. Like with a miniskirt. You can't wear this and cover most of it, no. You need to boldly present it as what you LOVE.

Seriously, I think I just got hooked on your blog over this picture!

haha Hoorah for you. I think you can pull them off. I would look like a munchkin from munchkinland.

I'm waiting to see Jilly's response....

I couldn't pull it off, but you totally do! I think they look fun. I don't even feel like I can pull off cute patterned socks. I want to... I just can't seem to bring myself to do it.

Well, I love the tights -- but not with the boots. I think you could show more of them :) The little bit is too little :) Show them off fully!! You can do it :)

I agree with Robyn. These tights are SO you, but they're all covered up in the long w/ the boots. You need a little black or maybe pink 60's mod shift dress and little flats. Then all the focus is on the tights, AND you have a fun and funky retro outfit to boot!
