Friends for Half our Lives!

My dear friend, Angie, came to town with her son for a visit last week. We had fun catching up, and in our reminiscing, we realized that we've been friends for more than half of our lifetimes. That felt pretty special. (Poor Angie got a black eye half-way through her visit when her son accidentally hit her in the eye with his toy.)

Angie and I met our senior year in high school when we were part of a group of students who traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia for a spring break trip. We hit it off right away and have been friends ever since!

Angie is now married and a mother of her beautiful son. Of course, photographing him and his amazing eyelashes was a blast!

Thanks for being my friend, Angie! There is something special about old friendships and having a shared history.
